(ANSA) - MILAN, 17 SEPTEMBER - With the sending of the fifth and final version of Android 12, the launch of the final version seems to be very close. The experts of the XDA technical site have in fact obtained an official document in which Google outlines the release times of the next update for etablet smartphones. The file indicates the date of October 4, 2021, which is the day in which the US giant will present the new smartphone family, the Pixel 6. In reality, according to the guidelines released by XDA, the first release will concern the AOSP version, that is the 'clean' version. Android, available just for mobile phones from the Pixel range. It will then take weeks, if not months, for the individual manufacturers to adapt their interfaces to the code, and then make the update available via OTA, i.e. with a wireless update.to supported devices. Returning to the Pixel 6, according to XDA these will actually be unveiled on October 4th but with availability only towards the end of the month.
Certainly, the phones will arrive in the hands of buyers with Android 12 in the stable version already on board and this is the reason why the launch of the operating system must take place before their commercialization. At the moment, it is not even certain that the Pixel 6 series will be sold globally, after the previous model was limited to the United States and a few other countries, with most of those in Europe, including Italy, excluded.
