Battlefield 2042: release date postponed, but there is good news

Electronic Arts announced that the release of "Battlefield 2042" has been delayed.

The game won't be released in October as planned, but fans don't have to wait long.

"Battlefield 2042" *, the next part of the popular first-person shooter, should be more dynamic than ever, according to the developers.

With large-scale battles with up to 128 players, Electronic Arts and DICE promise a whole new dimension.

Players are faced with unpredictable events, including extreme weather situations.

Classic multiplayer modes such as Conquest and Breakthrough are being reworked and there is also a brand new Danger Zone mode.

It all sounds very exciting for "Battlefield" fans and they are already looking forward to the release.

The developers have now announced on Twitter that the release date has been postponed.

The good news is that fans don't have to wait until next year as the release is only delayed by a few weeks.

release date of "Battlefield 2042" is November 19th

In a Twitter post, Oskar Gabrielson from the "Battlefield 2042" development team reveals that the coronavirus pandemic has made it difficult to work on the game:

“Developing the next generation of Battlefield during a global pandemic presented our development teams with unforeseen challenges.

Given the size and scope of the game, we were hoping our teams would be back in our studios together on the way to launch.

Given that current conditions do not allow this and the teams are working hard from home, we feel it is important to take the extra time to make the vision of Battlefield 2042 a reality for our players.

New and revised game modes for "Battlefield 2042"

• 7 cards with up to 128 players

  Up to 128 players cavort on the largest "Battlefield" maps to date.

• Hazard Zone
