(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 17 - In the period 25 August - 7 September 2021, the average Rt calculated on symptomatic cases continues to decline, which was equal to 0.85 (range 0.83 - 0.95), below the epidemic threshold and decreased compared to the previous week when the value was equal to 0.92. The incidence of cases per 100 thousand inhabitants also decreases (and this is one of the key decision-making indicators) which passes, in the national value, from 64 last week to 54 in the latter (period 10-16 September).
It emerges from the draft of the weekly monitoring on the Covid-19 epidemic at the examination of the control room that will be illustrated today.
The employment rate in intensive care of Covid patients decreased slightly to 6.1% (daily survey by the Ministry of Health), with the number of people hospitalized decreasing from 563 (7/09/2021) to 554 (14/09/2021) ).
