Covid-19: nearly 3,300 classes closed across the country

Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer said Monday that "just over 3,000 classes" were closed, a figure that was growing exponentially from the previous week.

The ministry also announced Monday, in this first weekly update since the start of the school year on September 2, that 16 school structures (15 schools and one college), or 0.027% of the total, were closed because of the Covid-19 epidemic. .

Finally, 1314 of the 10,700 middle and high schools offered “a vaccination course” to the students.

One case causes closure in primary

For the start of the school year, the ministry has retained the “level 2” health protocol (out of 4) which authorizes all students to be received face-to-face and requires them to wear a mask indoors, except in kindergarten.

In the event of contamination in middle or high school, only unvaccinated contact cases students must isolate themselves for one week.
