Alexei Navalny's allies today accused Google and Apple of having removed from their platforms - on the first day of the Russian parliamentary elections - the app of Putin's number one opponent for the "smart vote".
"Removing the Navalny app from platforms is a shameful act of political censorship. The authoritarian government and Russian propaganda will be delighted," Ivan Zhdanov, director of the Navalny organization, commented on Twitter, citing Google and Apple.
The "smart vote" system calculates which alternative candidate to vote in order to make United Russia lose.
