Miart is back, 142 galleries in presence tell the story of poetry

MILAN - Milan restarts from art with the 25th edition of 'miart', the international fair of modern and contemporary art that is back in attendance after the pandemic, from tomorrow, with vip previews today, and until 19 September at the Fiera di Milan.

The event, directed for the first year by Nicola Ricciardi, features 142 galleries from 20 countries, traditionally divided into 5 sections (Established Contemporary, Established Masters, Emergent, Decades, Generations) which will present works by artists in the pavilions of fieramilanocity_MiCo established contemporaries, modern masters and emerging young people.

"The pavilions in which we are in preview already this morning are full of internationals. The main theme of this edition of miart is poetry, interpreted as a form of universal language, starting from the title chosen to accompany the 2021 edition: 'Dismantling the Silence', from the homonymous collection of verses by the American poet of Serbian origin Charles Simic. "We wanted to start from poetry because there was an objective at the origin of everything, that is to rebuild trust and dialogue with galleries, collectors. - explained the artistic director, Nicola Ricciardi -.
