(ANSA) - TOKYO, 17 SEPT - The Tokyo Stock Exchange begins the last session of the week with a plus sign, despite the mixed closure of the US stock indices but in the wake of the renewed optimism on greater political stability in Japan, concurrently with the launch of the campaign election starting from today and which will lead to the appointment of the president of the conservative party and almost certainly to the head of the executive. The Nikkei marks a progress of 0.34% to 30,425.98 points, with the addition of 102 points. On the foreign exchange market, the yen is gaining ground against the dollar at 109.70 and against the euro just above a level of 129. (ANSA).
