(ANSA) - ALGIERS, SEPTEMBER 18 - Former Algerian president AbdelazizBouteflika died yesterday at the age of 84.

This was reported by the state television of Algeria, citing a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.

Since his fall in April 2019 under the expression of the army and the road, Bouteflika had remained in solitude in his nursing home in Zeralda, west of Algiers.
