(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 19 - A summit of the ministers of defense of France and Great Britain that should have been held this week was canceled after the protests in Paris for the agreement between the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States for the supply of nuclear-powered submarines (Aukus). The Guardian reports it.
Ben Wallace, the British Minister of Defense and the French colleague Florence Parly should have held a bilateral meeting in London and then spoke at the French-British Council in the presence of the chiefs of the armed forces of the two countries.
Co-chair Peter Ricketts, former UK national security adviser, confirmed the summit had been "postponed to a later date". (HANDLE).
