With 33 new admissions, critical care services counted 1,832 Covid-19 patients this Sunday, against 1837 the day before.

The health situation continues to improve in France.

Day after day, the number of patients with Covid-19 and hospitalized is decreasing, as is the positivity rate, while the threshold of 50 million first-time vaccines was crossed on Friday.

A Defense Council will soon look into a possible adaptation of the restrictions depending on the evolution of the epidemic in each territory, government spokesman Gabriel Attal said on Sunday.

According to the latest data from health authorities, 8,887 people are hospitalized for infection with SARS-CoV-2 or its variants.

They were 8,912 on Saturday and 10,012 seven days ago.

In the past 24 hours, 113 patients have been hospitalized, according to data from Public Health France.

Among this total of patients, 1,832 are treated in critical care services, against 1,837 the day before and 2,129 last Sunday.

Some 33 Covid patients have joined these units reserved for the most serious cases since Saturday.
