strongly advises on the consumption of sweets "Yuki & Love OJuice Mango Jelly" and "Yuki & Love OJuice lychee jelly".
The reason for the recall is that there is a risk of suffocation because of the additives carageenan and locust bean gum, according to the statement from September 16.
The manufacturer is AsRopa Food GmbH from Glinde in Schleswig-Holstein.

Both additives are thickeners.
Carrageenan (European approval number: E 407)
consists of long-chain carbohydrates found in various types of red algae.
Carob gum (E 410) is obtained from the seeds of the carob tree.
Carrageenan is used to make gels or viscous liquids.
Examples are pudding powder, ketchup or candy.
Locust bean gum is added to jams, canned fruit or ice cream.

both have
a general approval for food in Germany. A maximum amount is not prescribed. However, only as much may be used as is absolutely necessary for the desired effect, according to the consumer initiative portal.
