TV audiences: Nagui's "The Artist" tumbles again

2021-09-19T08:59:15.059Z

The new musical show of France 2 did not resist against the competitor "The Voice All Stars", Saturday evening.

Checkmate for "The Artist", Nagui's new program.

After the flop of the first show last week, the host was betting this Saturday on a more narrow and dynamic formula of his telecrochet aiming to highlight young songwriters and performers.

But nothing worked.

Quite the contrary.

Far behind its competitor "The Voice All Stars", whose second episode of the anniversary show came largely ahead of audiences, "The Artist" continues to tumble in audiences.

And even falling below the million mark, a rare occurrence for France 2's prime time programs.

In detail, the second round of blind auditions of "The Voice" which celebrates its tenth anniversary, with Anthony Touma, Olympe or Louis Delort, was followed by 4.32 million viewers on average, or a 25.8% market share and 37.8% of women responsible for purchases under the age of 50, according to the Médiamétrie site.

This is a little less than last week, since the launch was followed by 4.62 million people, or an audience share (PDA) of 27.0% and 36.7% households of less than 50 years old, target of advertisers on which TF 1 is therefore improving this week.

Already a flop last week

Then comes on France 3, a replay of the French television film "Les mystères des majorettes", which interested 3.75 million people, or 19.6% of audience share.

Then in third position, season 3 of "Dr Harrow", on M 6, which drew 1.60 million viewers, with an audience share of 8.6% and 12.7% of women under. 50 years.

The travel magazine "Échappées Belles", on the Roya Valley, made 1.36 million crazy adventurers dream, or 7.1% of the public.

Finally in fifth position, "The Artist".

Only 990,000 people hung on to ten of the nineteen candidates selected last week who this time sang their own compositions in front of the jury made up of Emmanuel Virot, Élodie Mermoz and Christophe Mali, the singer of Tryo.

A figure corresponding to 5.6% of PDAs and 5.5% of housewives under the age of 50. Last Saturday, the launch had already been a flop, with only 1.32 million people behind their small screens, an audience share of 8.0% and 8.1% of housewives under 50. The show should last 6 weeks, with a daily at 8 p.m. every night of the week on France 4.
