Damascus-SANA
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research asked private universities to adhere to and commit to charging fees from new and old students, and not to exceed the maximum number of credit hours that a student is entitled to register on a quarterly basis.
In its circular, of which SANA received a copy today, the ministry allowed the student who was accepted in the first comparison and paid the required fees to apply to fill the vacancies in the same university and in the same year.
There are 23 private universities in Syria, with different specializations and under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and about 60,000 students study in them.
