Stop the city ... Long after they lost their status as the settlement elite of Israeli society, the kibbutzim flourished: rising apartment prices in cities and families searching for community life, good education and green spaces, led quite a few families to seek their future in the kibbutz.
If that wasn’t enough, the corona came and flooded two new parameters that only reinforced the trend: First, the possibility of working remotely, which many were unaware of before the epidemic broke out.
The fact that many kibbutzim are located in book areas, within a short drive of most employment centers, is already less disturbing in an era where many workplaces, even those that have not fully moved to remote work, allow for a hybrid model.

Kibbutz Gonen in the Upper Galilee currently has 120 families of about 400 people. The new neighborhood in Kibbutz Gonen is expected to absorb 49 families and so far 26 have been absorbed. Education
: The kibbutz's education system includes a nursery and kindergartens. Elementary students study at Kibbutz Beit HaEmek (10 minutes drive) while elementary and high school students at Kibbutz Evron (20 minutes drive). In addition, the kibbutz has an informal education system that is active during the school year when the children return from school, and during all the holidays.
Also in the kibbutz: a
pool, a Clalit HMO clinic, sports fields, a library, a youth club, a gas station, a members' club, a nursing home, a pre-military preparatory school and more - even a local brewery is already there.
Important to know:
Kibbutz Yehiam is located very close to major transportation arteries and of course to the train, which allows high mobility even for those who work in Haifa or the center. In the not too distant future, another section of Highway 6 will also be opened at the nearby Kabri junction, connecting it to the main highway in the country.
The location of the kibbutz provides the residents with a clear strategic advantage. Proximity to Route 6 will help with mobility to work and is expected to increase the value of the home.
Yehiam is also recognized as a locality in the area of national priority, and as a result enjoys tax relief.
