This weekend, the first with the new protocols in the City,
"Buenos Aires Celebra"
returned
after almost two years of suspension
due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event that
brings together all the communities that live together in Buenos Aires
had its reopening in Avenida de Mayo with a large number of attendees who went to enjoy the food, music and culture of different countries.
Pamela Malewicz, undersecretary of Human Rights and Cultural Pluralism of the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, said that "returning after almost two years was an
enormous emotion because people once again enjoy all the diversity that the City has
. a pride. It gives us the possibility of reuniting with more than 50 communities that reside in the City. With great respect and care and appreciation. "
The organization assures that they intend to return to the pre-pandemic format, when the City celebrated

"We are coming back little by little, but since today was the initial debut of returning to Avenida de Mayo, we wanted to test it this way and it is working wonderfully. And we are studying reinstalling the original format of the event."
The event spanned six blocks long, from Bolivar to Tacuarí and took place between twelve noon to six in the afternoon.
Along Avenida de Mayo they put two modules, three blocks long each, separated by fences, with capacity for 4 thousand people each, inside which the different communities set up stands with their products and food.

Mario Koutsovitis, from the Hellenic community of Buenos Aires, said that "with immense joy and emotion, the
Ballet of the Hellenic Collectivity of Buenos Aires
had the honor of being present at the opening of the Festival of Collectivities. The passion remains intact as well as the pleasure of dancing representing our roots. It was very moving for the group and the public as well, since it has been more than a year and a half that we could not share our art ".

People want to regain their joy,
" said Graciela , who walked with her friends along Avenida de Mayo looking for the best ethnic dish.
