Rwanda: the 'African Schindler' convicted of terrorism

(ANSA) - KIGALI, 20 SEPTEMBER - Paul Rusesabagina, the 'African Schindler' whose rescue of more than a thousand Tutsis in the genocide of 1994 is told by the film 'Hotel Rwanda', is today found guilty of "financing terrorism".


    Rusesabagina, 67, was convicted of supporting the FLN, the armed wing of the Rwandan Movement for Democratic Change (MRCD) - a coalition of opposition parties - responsible for deadly attacks in the country in 2018 and 2019 (ANSA).
