European stock exchanges continue to decline sharply as investors fear the Fed's next moves.
The US central bank will meet again on Wednesday and may revise its bond purchase policy. The markets are also affected by fears of a hypothetical contagion of the crisis of the Chinese real estate group Evergrande, at least in China.
The Stoxx 600 area index fell 1.83%. Paris and Milan (-2.3%), Frankfurt (-2.1%), Madrid (-1.9%) and London (-1.5%) are slipping. On the currency front, the euro against the dollar changed hands at 1.1708, down 0.15%.
