'Democracy, key to the Europe of the future'

The European Commission President Dubravka Suica, holder of the 'Democracy and demography' portfolio and head of the 'Conference on the Future of Europe', tells ANSA about the work for building a resilient Union projected towards a dimension that goes far beyond "life. politics of each of us ".

    New challenges, complicated by the very rapid changes imposed by the pandemic but also by long-standing and perhaps too neglected issues in the past.

"We cannot leave people for five years, between elections and the next, without democratic interaction" but instead we want to "listen to the citizens who have a lot to say", even those who "are against the European project, who have fears or concerns ".
