A stranger placed a dangerous electrical plug between two seats on an ICE operated by Deutsche Bahn.

As the federal police announced, touching the dangerously prepared plug would have meant an acute danger to life due to the applied voltage of 230 volts.

According to the officials, a train employee noticed the plug on Tuesday afternoon in Leipzig main station between the seats in the train and informed the federal police.

Plug was probably under tension

The connector ends had been processed in such a way that contact would have led to serious injuries.

Measurements taken by the railway indicated that the plug was actually live.

The federal police are investigating the attempt to cause dangerous bodily harm.

The police also warned against touching any other prepared plugs on trains.

Instead, the police should be called.
