(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 22 - "Violence against women is an open plague, everywhere".

The Pope said this in the general audience retracing the recent apostolic journey to Budapest and Slovakia and recalling in particular "the testimony of the Blessed Anna Kolesárová, a Slovak girl who, at the cost of her life, defended her dignity against violence: a testimony that is more relevant than ever, unfortunately" .
