Ukraine, Zelensky's first adviser who escaped an attack

(ANSA) - MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 22 - The first adviser of the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Serguiï Shefir, escaped an assassination attempt today: the authorities and the police made it known, specifying that strangers opened fire on the car he was traveling in, nearby Kiev.

Ukrainian President VolomymyrZelensky, in a video released on his social media accounts, promised "a strong response", announcing his return to the capital immediately after his speech at the UN Assembly.


    Shefir himself said he was unaware of the attack but believed that the attack was aimed at frightening "the upper echelons of power" in the country. "The police investigating in all directions, said Ukrainian Minister of the Interior Monastyrsky in response to questions raised by the media about a possible involvement of the Russian special services.
