Every year the same sayings are heard: "The weather has gone crazy"! "Where's the rain?" And "What will happen to the seemingly this winter"? Undoubtedly, the deceptive weather is not always welcome here, but for many Europeans and North Americans who fail to understand what the fuss is about, the Israeli winter is the object of envy.
I have not yet decided what I prefer: to get up for a Friday morning full of lightning, winds and heavy drops - where I can sit in front of a glazed window and sip steaming tea, or hope for a warm and sunny weekend - where I can go out into the orchards around my house and enjoy the intoxicating sights and aromas. Either way, it looks like this winter I'll have some of this and some of that. And the truth is, for me it's a great arrangement. I love the little changes in my sky colors, earth smells and mood. Anyway, if all days were the same I would get bored pretty quickly.
For me, the cake recipe is perfect for such weather, it contains both chocolate and vanilla - a marble cake with a pampering icing that makes it simple and exciting.
The well-dressed, good old English cake that took the Israeli cuisine by storm is always a good excuse to turn on the oven and set up a kettle for coffee or tea and indulge in such a deceptive weekend.

Ingredients
For the white batter:
½1 cups flour (200 g)
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ A teaspoon of salt
130 grams of butter
1 cup sugar + 2 tablespoons (220 g)
½ Cup of sour cream (70 g)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 eggs in size L
¼ lukewarm milk (60 g)
For the brown batter:
2 tablespoons (heaped)
2 tablespoons lukewarm milk (35 g)
For coating:
100 grams of milk chocolate
10 grams of butter
1 tablespoon oil

Preparation
How to make a classic marble cake?
1 Preheat oven to 170 degrees turbo and grease an English cake pan 26 cm long or any other English cake pan.
2 Prepare the batter: In a medium bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder and salt.
3 In a mixer bowl with the whipping balloon, soften the butter with the sugar until a paste-like and airy texture is obtained and the sugar granules are dissolved and well absorbed in the butter.
4 Add the vanilla extract and the sour cream to the mixer bowl and continue to whisk on medium speed until a smooth and stable texture is obtained.
5 Add the eggs one by one - add an egg, beat for about a minute on medium speed and add another egg and so on.
6 Replace guitar guitar and add the dry ingredients we mixed and the milk alternately: dry-milk-dried.
Mix at low speed and make sure to rake the materials that stick to the bottom of the mixer and its sides.
Received at night smooth and airy.
7 Preparing the dark batter: Transfer 200 grams of the prepared batter into a medium bowl.
Add the cocoa and milk and stir manually until a smooth, uniform texture is obtained.
8 In a greased pan pour half of the white batter, over pour half of the brown batter, and repeat.
You can use a large spoon and create mounds.
For those interested in a marble pattern, a toothpick or fork can be moved inside the batter in circular motions.
9 Bake 45 minutes until dry toothpick test.
Remove from the oven and cool in the pan for 20 minutes, remove from the pan and transfer to a cooling rack.
10 The coating: In a small heatproof bowl, put the chocolate, butter and oil and melt in the microwave in pulses of 20 seconds.
Stir in until a smooth, glossy texture is obtained.
Place baking paper under the cooling grid above the cake.
Pour the hot chocolate over the cooled cake.
Wait about 2 minutes.
Using a long toothpick, create an example of waves on the chocolate.
