British actor Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the "Harry Potter" films, collapsed while playing golf.
The 34-year-old had celebrated his birthday the day before and took part in a celebrity tournament as part of the famous Ryder Cup in the US state of Wisconsin.
He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, the organizers said according to media reports.
Further details were initially not known.
Felton went down as the participants posed for the photographers after the game.
However, the actor was conscious and - accompanied by the applause of the audience - was able to go to a golf cart on his own, with which he was then driven from the course while lying on a stretcher.
The Ryder Cup is the most important team competition in golf.
Over three days, the twelve best golfers from Europe and the USA will compete against each other.
For the 43rd edition, the Whistling Straits Golf Course in Wisconsin is the venue for the prestigious continental comparison.
On the shores of Lake Michigan, the US team wants to recapture the title from the Europeans.
