In his apartment in Ulm, a man abused his half-sister and four other girls. More than 15 years after the attacks, he has now been found guilty.

In Ulm, a 45-year-old was sentenced to a two-year suspended prison sentence.

The district court found it proven that the defendant was guilty of sexual abuse of children in 129 cases - in two cases of serious sexual abuse of children.

The acts took place in the years 1996 to 2005, the man partially confessed to them in court.

The court was convinced that he had repeatedly sexually abused his half-sister and four other girls in his apartment in Ulm.

The girls were between 6 and 13 years old at the time of the offenses, and the defendant was 20 to 29 years old.

At the beginning of the trial in mid-August, the defendant admitted some of the allegations.

He stated that his half-sister and four of the girl's friends had repeatedly stayed in his apartment in Ulm and were completely or partially undressed.

According to him, he also gave the girls alcohol to drink and touched them while they were naked.

According to this, some of the girls lived in the man's neighborhood.

Two of them were daughters of a work colleague, as the defendant described in court.

Regarding the motif, the man said that he used to be interested in little girls and that he liked to look at them.

He had little chance with adult women.

However, he denied in court that he still has such an inclination today.

The procedure began for the first time at the end of June.

Because of the possible bias of a lay judge, it was initially suspended.

The lay judge had announced right from the start that she was "good friends" with the parents of one of the alleged victims and that she also knew the mother of the accused.

Four of the five victims were joint plaintiffs in the proceedings.
