Fridays for Future takes to the streets for the Global Climate Strike
.
This was announced by the association of young environmentalists in Italy, which warn: "After three years since they started the strike, the political leaders continue to talk, talk, talk. Making believe that something is being done, when it is not so: 2021 is expected to be the year with the highest emissions ever. "
"The movement continues to demand that this crisis be addressed really, and not in words. And it is placing special emphasis on inequalities and injustices between countries and also within states themselves. The historic victories of collective action have demonstrated the need for young people to remain united in the struggle for social justice and between generations ", reads the note from Fridays for Future Italia, providing the list of over 70 squares in Italy where the demonstrations will be held tomorrow.
"Even after the whole world witnessed a pandemic, we are still fighting for our basic rights like healthy air, food and water. But our rights are more than that. There is no equality until the whole crisis. it is not handled with the intersectional approach and all systematic social oppression is resolved, "says Atlas Sarrafoglu from Turkey.
