Puigdemont: protest near the Italian consulate Barcelona

(ANSA) - MADRID, SEPTEMBER 24 - The anti-sympathizing protest of the Catalan independence movement continues at the Italian consulate in Barcelona for the arrest of Carles Puigdemont in Sardinia.

There have been no accidents so far.

    According to sources of the municipal police cited by the media-Iberians, about 500 people gathered during the morning.

Meanwhile, the Association of Municipalities for the Independence of Catalonia has called protests tonight at 20.00, "in front of the town halls of towns and cities" of the region.

The association itself made it known on social media, making it spokesperson for 784 Catalan municipalities.
