A disturbance from Western Europe will reach Italy in the next few hours, bringing rains and thunderstorms to the northwest.
Based on the available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection has issued a weather alert which predicts widespread rainfall starting from late evening today, which locally may also be very intense and accompanied by hailstorms, lightning and strong gusts of wind, on Piedmont in extension, from the early hours of tomorrow, to Lombardy, Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and, subsequently, also to Umbria and Marche.
On the basis of the expected phenomena, the Department assessed an orange alert for thunderstorms on large sectors of Emilia Romagna and Liguria.
