Motorbike: Spanish rider dies in Jerez, he was 15 years old

Dean Berta Viñales, a 15-year-old Spanish driver, died at the Jerez circuit due to an accident during the race in the Supersport 300 category. The driver crashed at turn 1 and was then hit by other competitors.

The boy, a cousin of MotoGP rider Maverick Vinales, sustained severe head and chest injuries.

Medical vehicles arrived immediately and Dean Berta Viñales was rescued on the track, in an ambulance and at the circuit medical center.

Despite all the efforts of the circuit's medical staff, the Medical Center announced his death.

Following the incident, the rest of today's schedule was canceled.
