When a gyroplane crashed in Hesse, two people were killed on Saturday.
As the police in Gießen announced, the accident with the ultralight aircraft, also known as a gyrocopter, occurred west of Butzbach.
It fell into a forest for an unexplained cause.
The two inmates were therefore two men aged 39 and 47 from Baden-Württemberg.
The burning wreckage of the aircraft was extinguished by the fire brigade.
According to the police, specialists from the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation should clarify how the accident could have come about.
The responsible public prosecutor in Gießen is also involved in the investigation.
