The lava flow on the island of La Palma rolls further towards the sea - and does not stop at anything.
Not even in front of this church in the village of Todoque.
The volcano on the Canary Island has been spitting ash, smoke and lava for a week.
The damage is immense.
More than 460 buildings have been destroyed, and more than 6,200 people had to be brought to safety.
The lava mass, which is up to 15 meters thick, will take months to cool down.
It has already buried 212 hectares under itself, the equivalent of almost 300 soccer fields.
Neither new houses can be built there for decades, nor is agriculture possible - the island's main source of income.
Experts fear that the eruptions could last for weeks.
The authorities now want to start building replacement shelters as soon as possible.
The island is to be declared a disaster area on Tuesday.
