Former Senator Denis Verdini sentenced to one year in prison on charges of auction disruption as part of one of the strands of the Consip investigation.
The decision was made by the gup of Rome who inflicted the same penalty on the entrepreneur Ezio Bigotti and on the former parliamentarian Ignazio Abrignani.
Verdini was acquitted of extortion as well as Bigotti.
For the three convicted, prosecutor Mario Palazzi had asked for absolution.
