This is the number one problem for business leaders in this fall: they are unable to recruit, even though the unemployment rate in France has reached 8%, and even 20% among young workers. To get out of this paradox, the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, on Monday in Châtellerault (Vienne), announced a "plan to reduce recruitment tensions" with 1.4 billion euros. The government will thus release an additional 900 million this year (financed by the redeployment of unused credits) and 500 million in 2022, via an amendment to the finance bill. The aim is to strengthen training for both employees and the unemployed, in particular for the long term.

“During the previous five-year term, only 10% of the unemployed had access to training every year.

Today we are at 18%.

We are going to strengthen the training system, ”

said Jean Castex.
