Speeder and accomplice: "There are two ways to prevent being flashed"

This driver could not have wished for a better accomplice: a seagull protected a speeder from punishment in a coastal town in Normandy, France.
"There are two ways to prevent being flashed," tweeted the police about the unusual incident in Grèges.
"Either you stick to the speed limit or you rely on your luck."
For this purpose, the police put a speed camera photo in which a seagull flying past in front of the camera with its wing obscures the view of the license plate of the flashed car.
"We'd rather advise you to take your foot off the gas," the police said.
