VIDEO. In Singapore, patrolling robots to monitor the population

New robots are in charge of patrolling the streets of Singapore. The machines reprimand the inhabitants at each "soc behavior.


If you go to Singapore, you might come across new patrolling robots.

They are responsible for monitoring residents in the event of “undesirable social behavior”.

Called "Xavier", they are equipped with seven cameras.

Thanks to them, they can detect if you parked incorrectly on your bike, if you smoke in an unauthorized area or if social distancing is not respected.

According to Michael Lim, the manager of this project, these machines are a new weapon against insecurity: "If the robot is around and something happens, the people in the control room will have a trace and will be able to see what happened ”.
