With few savings measures and still a lot of spending on health, the last Macron five-year security budget is entirely focused on getting out of the health crisis.
Presented to the Assembly on Monday by the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, the social security financing bill (PLFSS) for 2022 will be examined on Wednesday by the deputies in the social affairs committee, before arriving in the Hemicycle on October 19.

On the expenditure side, it is still measures in favor of health that dominate, with an envelope of 5 billion for tests and vaccination, an exceptionally dynamic national health insurance expenditure target (Ondam), the deepening of the implementation of the “Ségur de la santé” commitments and the pursuit of health system transformation reforms.
