Covid-19: less than 4,000 new cases and 8 deaths recorded in hospital in 24 hours

More than 75% of French people have received a dose of vaccine

This Sunday, 3,991 new positive cases were identified in the last 24 hours, versus 3,744 last Sunday.

The sliding average is 4,207 cases per day, stable for two days.

Worldwide, nearly 4.9 million people have died from the coronavirus.

The United States is the most affected country, both in terms of deaths and cases, with 712,974 deaths, according to the Johns Hopkins University count.

After the United States, the most bereaved countries are Brazil with 600,829 dead and 21,567,181 cases, India with 450,589 dead, Mexico with 281,958 dead, and Russia with 216,415 dead.

This Sunday, Latin America passed the 1.5 million coronavirus death mark.
