Each group of friends has a code word meant to denote a man or woman they like, without him or her knowing.

Air hostess L.J. revealed in the podcast Confessions on the Fly that she and her flight attendants also have a secret code designed to signal when they are interested in an attractive passenger on the flight.

Not all stewardesses use this method, but if you happen to hear them talking to you about dinner - you're probably the main course.

L.J. recounted: "My colleague and I had such a code that I would ask her 'what would you like to eat tonight?'. She would answer 'Italian' or something, and I would reply 'No, I'm not really into it' or if "Someone hot would get on the flight, I would reply, 'Yes, I would definitely like that tonight."

LJ admits that in order to signal to her colleagues that she is in the business of a man who boarded a flight, she would treat him as a meal she would be happy to dine tonight.

She added: "When someone really cute got on a flight, I would say 'oh yeah, I definitely want whatever it is - Italian for example - for dinner.'"

LJ also said a colleague, Tony, helped her get phone numbers from passengers she liked: "After Tony got the secret message, when the passenger got to the back of the plane to evacuate, he would start talking to him, just to warm up the atmosphere for me. "Then I would jump in for a call and Tony would continue to the front of the plane to allow us to talk. That's how I got his number."

In the episode, LJ also said that if a passenger is interested in one of the flight attendants, it is not really recommended to start with them while they provide service to the passengers.

She said: "It's very embarrassing ... if you want to get our attention, be nice and kind. It's number one rule."

She added: "Please say and thank you. If you ask me how my day went, I will immediately lower the barriers, because no one turns to me if it is not to ask for Diet Coke or something like that. Be nice, ask for my safety and then I will make sure to pay attention. to you".
