The trial against a 28-year-old educator has started before the Dresden regional court.

The public prosecutor's office accuses the man of having sexually abused seven girls between the ages of two and three years between 2018 and 2020 in a Dresden daycare center.

It was his job as a pedagogical employee to monitor the children’s nap, to change diapers, to move and to accompany them when they go to the toilet, it said.

He filmed a large part of the acts with his cell phone.

In addition, the defendant is said to have abused a girl from his neighborhood, who was eight at the beginning, between 2013 and 2015.

The 28-year-old has been in custody since January.

He announced a full confession on Monday.

The youth protection chamber therefore excluded the public at the request of the defense attorney.

Arrest at the day care center

On the sidelines of the trial, it became known that the parents of a child had contacted the police about a year ago with suspicion of abuse.

As a result, the suspect was arrested on October 20, 2020 in the day care center.

In his apartment, officials found evidence of the abuse cases, thousands of files depicting the sexual abuse of children, which the defendant is said to have downloaded from the Internet or the Darknet.
