A 14-year-old was seriously injured in a bicycle accident involving a deer.
The boy was on Monday morning on the bike path of the federal road 82 in the Lower Saxony district of Helmstedt when the deer jumped out of the ditch and collided with the cyclist, said the police in Wolfsburg.

The boy fell and was badly injured.
He was taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
The deer was found seriously injured in the area.
Officials had "released it from its suffering," as it was said.
