A small plane crashed in the Siebengebirge near Königswinter.
So far, two dead have been found, said a police spokesman in Bonn.
Rescue workers searched the area.
How many people were on board is still unclear.

It is not yet clear why the fan gun crashed.
In the morning it was foggy in the Siebengebirge, which is not uncommon in the area in this season.
Experts from the Braunschweig Federal Office for Aircraft Accident Investigation set out to get an idea on site and to find out the cause.
The crash site is not far from the Löwenburg fortress ruins in the middle of the forest.
