The brutal game show from South Korea is currently on everyone's lips - even children seem to know the series on Netflix.

Now the schools are warning of violence during breaks.

The streaming service Netflix celebrates enormous success with the series "Squid Game".

And if things continue to go so well, the game show could even replace “Bridgerton” as the most successful Netflix series of all time *.

Nobody expected the series to make such waves.

But with all the hype, there is criticism and, above all, the teachers are now worried.

In Germany, “Squid Game” is approved for people aged 16 and over.

Nevertheless, the younger students also know the games in the series and are now imitating them in the schoolyard.

"Squid Game" endangers students

For example, a Facebook post from a Belgian school is currently circulating in the media.

Parents are made aware of the dangerous situation.

As in “Squid Game”, the children play supposedly harmless children's games.

But while the

losers in the fictional game show pay with their lives

, the losers are mercilessly beaten in the schoolyard.

In the series, the players play for life and death, as well as a high prize money - there are bloody scenes in there.

And even in the school yard, the

children don't

seem to shy away

from violence

.

As Stern magazine reports, the incident at the Belgian school is not the only one.

Schools in London also report a

higher propensity for violence among students

Schools threaten with consequences if children act out the "Squid Game"

In both Belgium and Great Britain, parents were informed that the pupils

face severe penalties

if they replay the games from "Squid Game".

Basically, of course, none of the teachers have anything against playing students, as long as no one is beaten up.

In the UK, students must

attend violence prevention courses as a consequence

, provided that the children watch their version of the Netflix series in the schoolyard.

In both countries, parents were also warned

not to watch the Squid Game with their children

.

Hopefully parents will explain to their children that the series is only fictional.
