(ANSA) - BEIJING, 12 OCT - The G20 should act "on the basis of respect for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Afghanistan".
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, President Xi Jinping's special representative for the extraordinary G20, said that "imposing one's ideology on others", interfering in the internal affairs of other countries or resorting to military intervention will only lead to continued unrest and poverty.
Wang's "suggestions" are four: help against the humanitarian crisis;
open and inclusive development path;
zero tolerance on terrorism;
consensus and synergy between various mechanisms linked to Afghanistan.
