The population concerned is around 2.7 million professionals, according to the Minister of Health, the figure would therefore reach about 16,000 people suspended.
An estimate much higher than the previous one: in mid-September, the day after the measure came into force, Olivier Véran announced “
3000 suspensions
” of personnel from unvaccinated health or medico-social establishments.
A number visibly underestimated compared to the realities on the ground.
Without elaborating further on this thorny subject, the ministry promised more details "

The announcement of the vaccination obligation by Emmanuel Macron, in mid-July, had given a boost to a campaign that was beginning to stagnate among healthcare workers, but disparities still remain today, according to the professions and the territories. As of October 10, 91.2% of professionals working in nursing homes and USLDs had received at least one dose of vaccine, according to Public Health France and the Ministry of Health, against 96.1% of private nursing staff, 96% of dentists and 93% of masseurs and midwives, for example.
And, if the coverage with at least one dose of professionals in nursing homes and USLD exceeds 90% in 72 metropolitan departments, it is less than 80% in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and fluctuates between 80% and 90% in 23 departments. .
The vaccination campaign therefore still has some way to go before reaching the level required by the executive in these territories.
