The National Union of Syrian Students and the Syria International Islamic Bank today signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in implementing projects of pioneering activities related to youth and mechanisms for involving the local community in that process and launching and nurturing aspects of creativity in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of economic and social development.

In a statement to the media following the signing of the memorandum, Union President Darren Suleiman stated that the memorandum comes within the Union's strategy aimed at cooperating and coordinating with companies and business sector institutions in Syria to serve the interests of students and society in general.

Suleiman pointed to the importance of strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors in the areas of supporting university students and the projects they provide, benefiting from the services provided by the Bank to universities and their affiliates, and providing training opportunities for students in disciplines related to the Bank's activity.

In turn, the CEO of the Bank, Bashar Al-Sit, drew attention to the need to increase banking and financial awareness among students and prepare them to enter the labor market so that they are entrepreneurs and not limit their options to the idea of ​​a job, indicating the need to pay attention to human cadres as they are the cornerstone of any project or institution and the main criterion for maintaining its position and achievements and from this point of view The Bank is always keen to play a major role in supporting these resources.

It is noteworthy that the Syria International Islamic Bank was established with a capital of 5 billion pounds and raised to 15 billion pounds and began providing its banking services in the third quarter of 2007.
