The Last Duel: Beynac, Fénelon, Berzé-le-Châtel… The art of spotting the ideal castle

Director Ridley Scott had to tour medieval French sites to find castles that matched the story of the film.


Although Jean de Carrouges resided in Normandy, in the castle bearing his name, the filming of the production of Ridley Scott did not take place on site, the monument having been too altered after the Middle Ages.
