In Florida, a 55-story anti-pandemic building will be built in 2024. The “Legacy Tower”, whose construction has already started in 2021, will include 310 luxury residences, 219 hotel rooms and medical services on ten floors.
It will be part of the ten hectare large “Miami Worldcenter” real estate complex.
“The Legacy hotels and residences project was being designed during the pandemic, and that's when we decided to make some changes,” Daniel Kodsi, CEO of Legacy Miami Worldcenter, told AFP.
We looked at ventilation systems as well as antimicrobial materials.
We also looked at Xenex robots, which kill bacteria and which we could use to keep clean.

The developers hope that the technological devices that will be an integral part of the building will help protect residents against potential future pandemics.
The construction cost of the tower is estimated at 432 million euros.
