(ANSA) - PRATO, OCTOBER 13 - False documents to obtain residence permits, black money and gold bars for payments: this is how the Chinese textile district in Prato was used as a source of illegal labor. Prosecutor and GdF have given a shoulder to 'factories' of fictitious documents to renew the residence permits by oriental people hired 'black'. There are 210 investigators in the 'Easy permit' operation (among them 52 Chinese entrepreneurs and 46 nominees). Seven people go to the house: two labor consultants and three owners of data processing companies, Italians, plus two Chinese owners of other data centers. Another Oriental was given the obligation of residence.
The investigation by the prosecution and GdF found that under the direction of some labor consultancy firms in the city false documents were produced that allowed Chinese 'hidden' entrepreneurs to obtain the renewal of residence permits for oriental workers otherwise without. The latter, in turn, obtained the official title to remain on Italian territory despite the absence of the complete requisites, then went to work 'illegally' elsewhere. Among the 210 suspects there are also 83 workers hired by fake companies that exist only on paper, accused of illegally obtaining a residence permit. This morning the GdF with 400 soldiers carried out 142 searches in which, among other things, 250,000 euros in cash and four gold bars were seized:the investigators of the prosecutor's office think that all this illicit plant may have come in handy for systematically laundering "dirty money" from other trafficking.
