(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 13 - From Friday, parliamentarians and their collaborators will also have to show the green pass to access the Chamber: showing the certificate is in fact a "mandatory" condition to be able to access all the seats of the institution. This is what is foreseen by the resolution of the Montecitorio committee. In case of refusal to exhibit the document, the article of the internal regulation will be applied, foreseen for "events of exceptional gravity that take place in the seat of the Chamber, but outside the classroom": and therefore the "censorship with prohibition to participate in parliamentary work for a period from 2 to 15 days of session ".
The Quaestors also decided on an amendment to the internal regulation for the justification of absences in the sense of providing that in the event of application of the "censorship with prohibition to participate in parliamentary work", the withholdings on the daily allowance of the deputies concerned are made with reference to all the days included in the period disqualification in which the assembly holds sittings regardless of whether or not voting is scheduled.
However, the possibility of justification of absences by group presidents is excluded.
