(ANSA) - BRAZIL, OCTOBER 13 - Brazil must now reach 100 million people vaccinated with the two doses of vaccine against the coronavirus out of a population of 215 million.


    Since the start of the vaccination campaign, 19,958,396 Brazilians have received the two doses of Pfizer vaccines, AstraZeneca and CoronaVac, or the single scheduled dose of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson). The number corresponds to 46.86% of the population.


   Meanwhile, another 486,861 people were vaccinated yesterday, despite the fact that in some states there were fewer vaccination places open due to the national holiday of Nossa Senhora de Aparecida.


    Meanwhile, 149,805,979 people have received at least one dose, a figure that represents 70.23% of the population, while 2,468,883 people over the age of 60 have been vaccinated with a third dose of reinforcement.


    The number of deaths from Covid-19 in Brazil stood at 601,442, of which 176 in the last 24 hours, when the average was 367 in the last week.


   The total number of infected since the beginning of the pandemic has instead reached 21,588,245, with 7,151 reported yesterday, according to information released by the state government health secretaries.
