The actor Ludwig Haas, known as »Dr.
Dressler "from" Lindenstrasse "is dead. He died on September 4th at the age of 88 in a hospital in his hometown of Neumünster, as his daughter Franca Haas confirmed to the German press agency on Wednesday.
The "Neue Blatt" reported first.
Haas was born in Eutin in Schleswig-Holstein in 1933.
After training to be an actor, he first appeared on various theater stages, including in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart and Munich.
He was also seen in supporting roles in TV series, for example in “Tatort”, “The Old One” and “Derrick”.
Haas had been with "Lindenstrasse" since the first episode in 1985.
For 34 years he played the role of the somewhat senior doctor in the ARD series, who sat in a wheelchair.
